Audition Information

By Appointment starting at 4:45pm in the Music Room

• Auditions held in 20-minute time slots with 5 students for each slot. 

• Arrive 15 minutes before your audition time.

• Students are dismissed immediately after their audition. Parents please wait at school.

How to prepare:

1. Students should come prepared to sing part of two songs from The Wizard of Oz - Youth Edition to piano accompaniment played by our music director. Scroll down for song choices and materials.

2. Prepare a short monologue of 30-60 seconds of your choice. Some sample monologues are available HERE. 

What to bring:

3. Print and bring your completed AUDITION PACKET (audition form and conflict calendar), signed by both parent and student.

4. Auditioning can make be nervewracking. You can bring a copy of your music and monologue to use during your audition.

Audition Best Practices: Check out the CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS and SHOW SYNOPSIS pages. Review the STUDENT CAST CONTRACT.  This will be turned in at the first rehearsal along with the production fee.

Callbacks:

• Invitation Only - We will send an email after auditions to those students we would like to see a second time with instructions on what to prepare.

• Thursday, November 19th, 2026 4:30pm - 6:30pm (Music Room) Students will be dismissed as we work through characters, so parents should plan to stay if possible.
